Andrew is a qualified Naturopath, which includes Diploma of Western Herbalism, Diploma of Homeopathy, Diploma of Nutrition, and a Diploma of Remedial Massage, (also qualifications in Iridology, Swedish massage, Acupressure massage, Lymphatic drainage and Reflexology), graduating from the NSW School of Natural Medicine in 1997after 2 years at Nature Care College in Sydney. Andrew has also completed a Bachelor of Health Science (in Complementary Medicine).

He regularly attends seminars to update on the latest research in Nutritional and Herbal treatments. Andrew also has completed a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.

Practicing from the Clinic in Sawtell, with over 13 years experience in the local area as a Naturopath, Andrew has had extensive experience with many cases ranging from cancer support, arthritis, respiratory disorders like asthma, prostate problems, autoimmune disorders, children’s health, diet therapy, weight loss, skin problems and rashes to name but a few. As a successful and sort after masseuse, Andrew has treated many back problems, shoulder pain, sciatica, etc.

For the past 10 years Andrew has been teaching Nutrition, and presiding over Naturopathic Clinics at the NSW School of Natural Medicine. He has also worked in training massage students in Lymphatic Drainage and is currently teaching Herbal manufacturing and Western Herbalism.

Andrew is also conversant with meditation techniques and spiritual principles, being involved in and running a meditation centre in Melbourne for 8 years with regular updating overseas over a period of 20 years to further facilitate the care he brings to his clients.

Judy is a Professional Counsellor with a Bachelor of Counselling degree from the University of New England and counselling experience spanning more than 10 years in the local area and prior to that in Sydney. Judy is currently completing a Graduate Diploma in PsychologyWith an extensive background as a Registered Nurse encompassing 12 years in various areas of Cancer Medicine and Palliative care (in the 1980s and 1990s), Judy has also specialised in counselling the bereaved and terminally ill during that period.

A Certificate 1V in Assessment and Workplace Training has enabled Judy to provide assessments for trainee counsellors for several years, and supervision for counsellors.

For 5 years, co-facilitating with a Palliative Care Physician, Judy ran stress management, positive thinking and meditation workshops for Health Professionals in Sydney and has been co-facilitating similar workshops at her beautiful 120 acre wilderness retreat, Lightstream Sanctuary, in the Eastern Dorrigo Mountains since 1998.

Regular visits overseas over the past twenty years, have continually provided Judy with updates on meditation techniques and spiritual principles to elevate the expansion of human consciousness, and uplift the human condition.

In Sawtell, Judy co-manages the holistic Natural Health Clinic with her Naturopath partner. She combines her medical background with studies in Western herbal medicine, Homeopathy and Nutrition, and many years teaching meditation and spiritual atunement, with  Natural Health knowledge and experience and Counselling in the community. She has also taught stress management and communications at a local Natural Health College.

In her counselling practice at Lightstream Health Clinic, Judy uses an eclectic range of therapeutic methods and approaches to facilitate and encourage an individual’s ability to cope with life’s stresses, relationship difficulties and breakups, grief and loss, anger management, self esteem building, anxiety, in addition to freeing oneself from emotional attachments and addictions. Each individual’s physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs are holistically assessed, considered and addressed during each session. Each person is encouraged to reach their best potential at the pace they wish to proceed.
Carol Hartman BA, Dip Ed, DTCM (China) DJM [TOP]

Carol studied Acupuncture at the NSW College of Natural Therapies and also Hang Zhou Red Cross Hospital in China and has a Diploma of Japanese Medicine. Carol has been practicing Acupuncture for over 20 years and still works at the Women’s Health Centre one day a week, as well as at Lightstream in Sawtell on Wednesdays and in Dorrigo on other days of the week.

Carol uses the Japanese style of Acupuncture because she feels it is very refined and gentle and gets great results. Carol says: “I love the way Acupuncture harmonises the whole body. When one works from the constitutional level one brings balance to the emotional body as well as relieving physical symptoms.”

In her Acupuncture practice, Carol specialises in reducing stress levels, minimising all types of pain and also treating women’s health problems, which include menopausal symptoms and menstrual pain. Insomnia, arthritis and digestion problems all respond well to Acupuncture treatment.

Carol also has a very successful and well attended Tai Chi class at the Sawtell Surf Club every Wednesday morning starting 9am.
